Our Mission and Motto

Our Mission Statement

'Enhance the life chances of all our children.'

Our Motto

'Working together to succeed'

Our rationale:

We believe this encapsulates our school in that we value the whole community which contributes to the success of our school.  Our strength comes from teamwork at all levels and exploring how each of us can contribute to make a difference to the lives of our children.  We recognise that the journey we are on will require hard work and dedication.  Most of all, we are passionate that our children should be given every opportunity to succeed.

Our Vision

'The core purpose of our school is to enhance the life chances of all our children.'

Oakridge School is proud to serve its pupils, their families, and the local community.

As a school, we strive to provide an inspiring education that is inclusive, supportive, and rooted in our core values. We are committed to offering a principled and holistic education that nurtures the whole child, instilling a lifelong love of learning and a desire to make a positive contribution to society.

At Oakridge School & Nursery, we aim to nurture well-rounded, confident, and responsible learners by:

  • Equipping our children with the knowledge, skills, and understanding they need to succeed through a relevant, high-quality curriculum and teaching.
  • Providing enriching opportunities and experience - both in and beyond the classroom- so children enjoy school, grow socially and emotionally, and develop high aspirations.
  • Preparing our children to understand and respond to global challenges, particularly environmental issues, and to recognise their role as responsible global citizens.
  • Promoting the physical and mental health of every child, ensuring they are supported to thrive in all aspects of life.
